Imported from Australia by British botanists at the beginning of the 19th century, the mimosa has since become the jewel of the Côte d'Azur. Sunny and flourishing, it first flourished in the sumptuous gardens of Nice, owned by wealthy English winter residents, before reaching the slopes of the Esterel massif. Wild, its fragrance is like that of its branches with their opulent clusters: delicate.
