Annick Goutal x Mimpikita: an ultimate collision of fashion and fragrance
Annick Goutal recently launched a new addition to their classics range, the sweet, fresh and ultra rosy Rose Pompon. Mimpikita recently showed at KL Fashion Week its Spring Summer 2017 collection inspired by and embodying the fragrance. Like the scent, the collection featured soft colours and dreamy pastels, from pinks and purples to chartreuse greens, a palette the maison is very familiar with.
In a crossing of French chic and Malaysian femininity, Mimpikita created exclusive prints for the collection, one of a rose and an abstract keris, a rose print and a stripey Parisienne print. Their signature in-house print, Orissa, originally introduced in 2014, was reimagined in florals and geometry to reflect the fragrance.
The collection perfectly embodies the rosy freshness of the perfume. With a woody base of cedar, patchouli and white musk, and top notes of blackcurrant and raspberry, spiked with spicy rose pepper, wrapped around a heart of roses and peony, Rose Pompon is utterly addictive.
